Lady Aleesia

This was terribly fun to do... XD

My "half-dragon" priestess, Aleesia! She's deserved art for so long, but never got it due to my trouble with drawing dragons... This was a random chibi doodle that went horrible right.

I'm certain that her being a "priestess" and wearing that outfit might have some people confused; please allow me to explain. XD *Takes a deep breath and prepares for a very long-winded life-story commentary*

Aleesia was kidnapped from her chapel and taken to the abyss to be sold as a slave when she was barely an adult, and was trained into being a very high-class entertainer; the meaning of the work "entertainment" meant a lot of different things to a lot of different foul beasts of the abyss, and so she was trained to be capable of not just being a love slave, but fluent in dancing, singing, playing instruments, word games and mind games. Whatever it was her master wanted to alleviate his boredom, she provided.

The poor thing was always very sweet mannered and obedient, so it didn't take much to break her into being trainable, nor for her masters to keep her submissive. She spent uncounted years, maybe even a century, in that place, but even though she had somewhat warped and bent mentally to keep her spirits intact, the core of her beliefs remained intact and she continued to practice her religion whenever she had a moment to herself.

An answer to her prayers, a particularly terrible master who owned and trained many gladiators was looking to expand her stock and profits, and to do that, he needed to obliterate his greatest rival; A half-dragon ex-gladiator who was well known for his small but high quality arena battles he held locally. Aleesia's master knew his rival, Kash, would be unable to turn down a bet if Aleesia was the prize, no matter how clearly unfair the odds were. Kash, dazzled and awestruck by her appearance from first glance, fell very wittingly into his competitor's trap, but had a wild-card to play that his rival knew nothing about; A Rihk'Harr warrior named Valenar Bloodmane. (Rihk'Harr being the Abyss slang for "mutt" )

Kash cut a deal with his newly-bought Gladiator, telling him that if he won this battle for him, Kash would make sure Valen's life as a fighter in his arena would be very, very comfortable. Valen, bred and raised to fight and crave combat, accepted, always eager to please a worthy master and overcome new foes. The battle was a tense one, and very close, the odds stacked clearly against them; But in the end, Valen was the victor. The prize Kash won, was not only Aleesia, but his competitor would be forced to sell himself to Kash as a slave, as well as all his stocks; the same price Kash would have served should he have lost.

Since that time, Aleesia's fortunes took a sharp turn for the better, as her talents and demeanor stole Kash's heart in an instant, and he valued her above anything he owned. Over time, his infatuation became love, as she fell for him, and the two became utterly inseparable. Though she had to play the role of slave in public, whenever Kash had the chance, he treated her like a queen. Years passed, and eventually Kash decided to settle into retirement after a very fruitful career as perhaps the greatest arena master of the Abyss. He, like anyone who lived in that wretched place, knew his luck would only last so long, and preferred to retire while he was still filthy rich... XD

After selling his property, and seeing to it Valenar was sold to a very promising master that he was confident the gladiator could overpower and escape at any time he wanted to, Kash bought stocks to sell as a merchant, and took off for the "Surface" with his beloved Aleesia at his side. The Surface being a term for the plane in which mortal races dwelt. Once there, he and his mate began a pleasant adventure as aspiring merchants. Currently, me, and are sorting out how their adventure will progress; So far, it looks like it'll be a blast.

... So about her outfit. I didn't actually explain that. XD Kash picks all her clothes, and coming from his background, modesty isn't at all a consideration to him; he's proud of his mate's beauty and loves showing it off. XD Aleesia, having spent so long without any garments at all, before meeting him, pretty much doesn't care anymore, and is just grateful that her husband is considerate enough of her to provide her with clothing. Though, in general this might be awkward, her being a reptile and having really nothing to "show" makes it a lot easier for people to pass off the unusual outfit as simply strange and foreign design. I love reptiles, you can dress them in outfits that normally would be appalling on a mammal humanoid! XD lol
